About

After graduating from Wisconsin-Platteville, I started my career as a teacher in Texas. I have taught grade levels ranging from kindergarten to fourth grade for the past 7 years.

As I work on my transition to UX, I think about the quote, “Put yourself in someone else’s shoes.” In my classroom, it was so important to understand the background of the kids that I taught in order to cater the learning experience to them, and wear the hat of a young child. I realized the fascinating variables that go into a child’s life that make them who they are and I want to further explore experiences as a career.

When I am not working, you can find me spending time with my husband and family of two toddlers. I can be found in the gym, listening to podcasts, cooking in the kitchen or relaxing with a hot cup of coffee and a good book.
